Aranganathar Temple, Karamadai

Located about 30 kms from Coimbatore on the Mettupalayam Highway is the Swayambu Ranganatha Temple in Karamadai set in the backdrop of the blue mountain. Karikala Chozhan and Mysore King Krishnaraja Wodeyar are said to have made contributions to the temple. Thirumalai Nayakkar built the temple walls and several mandapams in and around the temple.

Ayyappan Temple

Sree Ayyappa Temple situated is in Sidhapudur, Coimbatore. The temple was built in 1976 by the Trust called Sri Dharma Sastha Baktha Jana Sabha. The trust wanted to build an Ayyappa Temple in Coimbatore similar to that of the one in Sabarimala and their wish was realised. The poojas and other religious rituals are observed similar to the fashion in Sabarimala.

Daily Poojas done in the early hours and in the evening. Seasonal Poojas are done on a large scale during Sabarimala season.
